Middle Emerald Pools
(Moderate, approx. 2-3 hours round trip)

Very popular trip that lets you see some very pretty views on the way and finally rewards you with a rare view of a small emerald-color lake surrounded by impressive red rocks. Same trail can take you to the Lower Emerald Pools, too.
(Length: 2.0 miles/3.3 km round trip, ascent: 150 ft/50 m).

Watchman Trail
(Moderate, approx. 2-3 hours round trip)

Great views of Watchman, West Temple, and lower Zion Canyon. Best hiked early in the morning or late in the day; often hot in summer.
(Length: 2 miles/3 km round trip, ascent: 370 ft/115 m).

Hidden Canyon
(Moderate, approx. 3-4 hours round trip)

Start at the Weeping Rock shuttle stop (you can also see Weeping Rock on your way to Hidden Canyon). Long drop-offs. Offers very nice views of Zion Canyon from the height. This trip is not for anyone fearful of heights.

Angels Landing
(Strenuous, approx. 4-5 hours round trip)

Long drop-offs and narrow trail, not for anyone fearful of heights. Last 0.5 m (0.8 km) is a steep, narrow ridge with chains to hold on to.

Observation Point
(Strenuous, approx. 5-6 hours round trip)

This trip offers arguably the best views of Zion Canyon. Also gives access to other East Rim trails: Cable Mountain, Deertrap Mountain.

Taylor Creek (Kolob Canyons)
(Moderate, approx. 4-5 hours round trip)

This trip is in the Kolob Canyons area, the north-west part of Zion Park (accessible from Interstate Highway 15, exit 40). Follows the Middle Fork of Taylor Creek past two homestead cabins to Double Arch Alcove.
(Length: 5 miles/8.6 km round trip, ascent: 450 ft/140 m).

Kolob Arch (Kolob Canyons)
(Strenuous, approx. 8-12 hours round trip)

This trip is also in the Kolob Canyons area. The long hike rewards you with a view of the Kolob Arch, arguably the largest free-standing arch in the world.
(Length: 14 miles/22 km round trip, descent: 700 ft/215 m).
