Ranger-led Activities
Ranger-led activities are a great way to learn more about Zion National Park.
Topics vary and include plants, animals, geology, archeology, human history, and more.
Wear sturdy footwear, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bring water.
Check at visitor centers and bulletin boards for the current program topics.
All programs are free.
Morning hike
- One- to three-hour hike. Be prepared to walk two or three miles.
Check bulletin boards for meeting places.

Afternoon hike
- One- to three-hour hike. Be prepared to walk two or three miles.
Check bulletin boards for meeting places.
(Jun 2-Aug 10: 6 p.m. daily; Aug 11-Sep 21: 5 p.m. daily)
Tailor Creek hike (Kolob Canyons)
- Two-hour, two-mile hike up Tylor Canyon (north-west part of Zion Park). Space is limited.
(April - August, 9 a.m. every Saturday)
Ride With a Ranger Shuttle Tour
- Two-hour narrated shuttle bus tour on the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive.
Seating is free but limited: obtain tickets at the Visitor Center.
(Tickets are not required for the regular shuttle buses).

Visitor Center Talk
- 20-30 minute talk in the shaded Ranger Talk area.

Museum Talk
- 20-30 minute talk on the shaded Zion Museum patio.
(Jun 30-Sep 21: 11:20 a.m. daily, 1:20 p.m. daily; Sep 22-Oct 14: 1:20 daily)
